Hi, I’m Justin and I run Etherion Designs. I’ve spent the last thirteen years working across art, development, production and marketing, building characters and game-ready assets for projects ranging from independent games to larger productions.

That pipeline has already put over 80 assets through the digital marketplace: characters, props, and environment kits built to the same bar we hold for direct client work.

If you need an outsourcing studio where the senior is involved in every aspect of development, I’m your guy.

Most studios will model your concept and call it done. I figure out what your game actually needs.

So

Let's get started

Characters

Service Icon

I handle the entire pipeline from concept to game-ready implementation. I create realistic and stylized characters rigged to Epic’s standards and ready for facial mocap, along with custom character customization solutions for games requiring procedural character variation. I’m constantly refining my workflow and testing new tools and techniques to improve efficiency, production speed, and in-game performance. Want to see what I can do? Reach out and I’ll send you a demo!

Indie Game Partnerships

Service Icon

If your game has outgrown your team's visual ceiling, I’ll raise it. As a senior artist and indie developer with two decades of experience across game development, I’ll work alongside your team to identify where your game can improve visually, find practical ways to get there, and help implement those improvements while bringing out the best in what you’ve already created. If you’re ready to see what’s possible, book a free assessment and we’ll discuss where I can help.

Environments, Props & Extras

Service Icon

I’ll build everything from individual props and environment kits to complete worlds, combining the art and technical implementation needed to make them work in-game. I’ll work closely with your team to understand what the environment needs to achieve, then develop the art and systems to bring it to life. From foliage interaction and dynamic weather to more complex systems like fish schooling, I’ll create worlds that feel alive and respond to the player. The result will be an environment designed around your game, not simply an asset delivered to it.

Got questions? We’ve got answers. Here’s everything you need to know about working with us.

Who actually works on your assets?

We're a small, senior-led team, and I stay directly involved throughout the entire production process. I handle art direction, concepts, final modelling, materials, shaders, and game-ready implementation, while working closely with senior artists on sculpting, texturing, and rigging. This keeps the creative and technical decisions in experienced hands from start to finish.

Is your studio a good fit for my project?

We work with developers building ambitious games, from established studios to smaller teams with serious projects. Our focus is on clients who value high-quality art, senior technical expertise, and reliable production. If that's you, lets chat!

How long does a typical character take?

It depends on the complexity and our availability. But if we are freely available to work on a project it will take roughly 2-4 weeks to go from concept to game-ready. If crunch-time is required, this can sometimes be cut down to 1 week.

What game engines do you support?

Unreal Engine is my specialty, with two decades of experience using it in production. I also have experience with Unity, as well as several other game engines, and can also produce game-ready assets for custom engines. The underlying principles of real-time rendering are largely the same on all game engines, making it pretty straightforward to adapt our workflow.

Can you work exclusively on our project?

Yes, when the project calls for it. I enjoy working closely with a team to improve the overall visual quality of a game, whether that's creating hero assets, refining shaders and post-processing, or identifying the small changes that can make the biggest visual impact. For the right project, I'm happy to dedicate my time and expertise exclusively to your team.

Can we see examples of your work before hiring you?

Absolutely! I’m happy to let you inspect the work I do. Just reach out and I can send you a sample!
